​The Teaneck Volunteer Ambulance Corps (TVAC) responds to over 4,500 calls for help each year......an average of more than 13 calls each day! Every member of TVAC who responds to a call is a volunteer who has gone through extensive training and continuing education. We are state-certified Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) who come to your aid when you need us. TVAC's members are proud to serve the people of Teaneck. We are very grateful for your generous support in the past and look forward to your continued support to fund our important service in the future.

We ask for your financial support because we are a volunteer non-profit organization that counts on your generous donations to keep us operating. Our annual budget amounts to well over $300,000 per year, with major expenses for insurance, training, vehicle maintenance, and disposable sterile supplies. The rest must be raised via voluntary contributions. Unfortunately, only 18% of local residents, and 1% of local businesses contribute to Teaneck's free ambulance service, and major efforts must be made each year to inform the public of our financial needs.  

All of the money raised through fundraising directly supports the day-to-day operations of the Corps.  There are many expenses related to running the corps that need to be supported: heating and providing power to our headquarters, office supplies, medical supplies, insurance, training costs, vehicle maintenance and many more expenses that are necessary to enable us to continue to function.
